Fish Patties | Cooking with Aunty D

Flour 250g

Salt 1/4 tsp

Cool Margarine 50g

Egg yolk 1

Ice water 5 tbsp

Oil 1 tbsp

B. Onion 2 medium

Garlic 3 cloves

Curry Leaves

Green Chilli 3 nos

Boiled Fish 350g

Boiled Potatoes 200g

Chilli Flakes 1 tsp

Pepper 1 tsp

Turmeric 1/4 tsp

Salt 3/4 tsp

Lime Juice


First, add flour into a bowl followed by, salt, cool margarine, an egg yolk, ice water and mix well into a dough.

Refrigerate the dough for 30 mins.

Next, add oil into a pan followed by, big onion, garlic, curry leaves, green chilli, boiled fish, boiled potatoes, chilli flakes, pepper, turmeric, salt and mix well into a paste.

Sprinkle lime juice over the paste and mix well once again.

Next, add some flour onto a flat surface, place the dough over the flour and use a rolling pin to flatten the dough.

Use a circular shaped cutter to create circular shapes for the patties.

Place the circular-shaped dough on a fish pattie moulder and add the paste into the centre of the dough.

Finally, add the fish patties into a deep frying pan with oil and fry until golden brown.
