Cooking with Aunty D.
It’s Avurudu week! Try making these amazing pol toffees and everyone who eats them will keep coming back for more! Get cooking!
- Desiccated coconut 250 g
- Sugar 200 g + 50g
- Water 1 1/4 cup
- Salt 1/4 tsp
- Vanilla 1 tsp
- Coloring (green) 1/3 tsp
- Lurpak Butter 50 g
- Heat sugar and water.
- Add salt, vanilla and colouring. Stir continuously.
- Add desiccated coconut and Lurpak butter.
- When the mixture gets thick, pour into a greased tray.
- Keep for 12-20 minutes and cut into desired shape.
