Cooking with Aunty D.
In need of a seafood dish with a Lankan twist? Here’s how to make Thalapath Mirisata in no time! Happy cooking!
Ingredients:
- Thalapath 500g
- Pepper 2 tsp
- Chilli powder 4 tsp
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Cardamom 2
- Ginger 1/2 inch
- Cloves 3
- Goraka 3 pcs
- Onion
- Rampa
- Curry leaves
- Oil 2 tsp
- Cinnamon 1/2 inch
- Green chilli 1
- Salt 2 tsp
- Water
Method:
- Cut and clean thalapath.
- Grind pepper, garlic, cloves, cardamom, ginger and goraka. If it’s difficult to grind, add little water.
- Heat a saucepan and roast chilli powder.
- Heat oil. Add onion, rampa and curry leaves.
- Add fish, roasted chilli powder and the paste.
- Add cinnamon, green chilli, salt and water.
- Cook 15- 20 minutes.
