Ingredients:
Desiccated Coconut 500g
Coconut Treacle 1 1/2 cups
Salt 1/2 tsp
Ground Cardamom 1/4 tsp
Lime Zest 1 lime
Rice Flour 1 cup
Turmeric Powder 1/4 tsp
Sera Real Coconut Milk 1 pkt
Sera Coconut Oil
Method:
Add desiccated coconut into a pan followed by coconut treacle, salt, ground cardamom and lime zest.
Mix well and let the paste sit on the heat for a while and remove from heat once fully cooked.
Add all-purpose flour into a bowl, followed by turmeric powder, salt, sera real coconut milk and mix well into a batter.
Add sera coconut oil into a deep frying pan.
Make small ball shapes from the coconut paste, dip them in the flour batter and slowly place them in the pan.
Let the naran kavum turn slightly brown and then remove from the heat.
