What we had
Thimbirigasyaya is now becoming a hub for amazing eateries including Giovanni’s, Cafe Noir Blanc, Bubble Me Bubble Tea, Cafe Shaze and so on, and the new kid on the block is Yeli’s Sugar Creations. You may miss it since it is quite a tiny store, but the white outdoor furnishing is bound to catch your eye when you pass by.
Yeli’s Sugar Creations started out as a home bakery, serving up some pretty good cakes and cupcakes. They have a bunch of pretty good reviews on their Facebook page, too, hence why we had high hopes for the cafe. However, all Yeli’s has got going for them is their cute interior.
We walked into a deserted store, with not a soul in sight. From the time we placed our order to the time we finally got our drinks, almost 30 minutes had gone by, which is an insanely long waiting time given that all food and drink available were relatively easy to make.
Drinks
Chocolate Milkshake- Rs. 330

The Chocolate Milkshake was definitely not one of the best I’ve had. It was extremely sugary and had a very sweet chocolate syrup-y taste to it. It wasn’t thick enough either, which is something that I feel is key for an ideal milkshake. I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone, in all honesty.
Golden Oreo Milkshake- Rs. 490

Since there aren’t many places that incorporate Golden Oreos in their menu, I really wanted to try this one out (you should know however, that I initially ordered an Oreo Cheesecake Milkshake, but since it was not available on that day, I was offered the Golden Oreo Milkshake as an alternate).
Once again, the fact that the consistency of the drink wasn’t thick enough was a real downer. Taste-wise, it was alright but there was something bland about it. Had there been vanilla ice cream with more Oreos, it would have absolutely been a lot better.
Mains
Jumbo Chicken Burger Rs. 600

This was supposed to be a burger with a homemade chicken patty, mixed vegetable mayo salad, fried egg, a ham and cheese layer and onion rings served with French fries.
First of all, there were no onion rings anywhere on the dish that came to us. Secondly, it was not served hot, which was a bit confusing because they took an immense amount of time to serve up the burger. The patty was chewy and tough to bite through, the egg was cold, and the cheese hadn’t been melted properly either. All in all, it was quite disappointing.
Chicken Salad Sandwich- Rs. 370

Overall, it was average. The slices of bread should have been toasted more, and the fries that accompanied it were way too salty. Due to this, the salt just overpowered everything.
Desserts
Unicorn Cheesecake- Rs. 420

Just no… When you see something with the word ‘unicorn’ in its title, you tend to have high expectations for it, but this did not at all meet any of those expectations. It was mostly grey in colour, which is not a very unicorn-y colour. Wanting to look past the presentation, I thought at least the taste element would be right. Nonetheless, it was bland. The base wasn’t crumbly; it was soggy and just way too sugary.
Fudgy Brownie- Rs. 200

It wasn’t fudgy at all and tasted quite burnt. We pierced the somewhat charred slice with our fork, and it came out completely clean; there wasn’t even a speck of brownie on it, so not exactly fudgy, is it?
