A highly talented musical group, with seven unique musicians, Shiksha is ready to take the center stage!
Promising to push the barriers of music in Sri Lanka, this band is comprised of proficient instrumentalists and vocalists who have several years of experience in the Sri Lankan music industry. Through their different talents and prowess, their music is powerful enough to induce musical desire amongst listeners of any genre.
After being the orchestra for the highly popular show ‘Derana Dream Star’ for seven consecutive seasons, Shiksha is now ready to push their limits in the music industry! Their recent song, Jeevithe | Life was released this December and has already received an extremely positive welcome, garnering more than 3,000 hits on YouTube alone!
This highly entertaining and moving song has a deep meaning beneath the surface, provoking the discussion on the dark side of life and injustice in this world. The artists include Lasantha Kariyawasam, Kanchana Sithar Jayasinghe, Lelum Rathnayake, Manju Robinson, Gayanath Dahanayake, Thushani Jayawardane, Wasantha Gamage, and Nuwan Amith, with lyrics and music by Jagath Rasnayake.
