Conquer Colombo is Sri Lanka’s very own amazing race, scheduled to be held on the 7th of Feburary starting from Nelum Pokuna Mahinda Rajapakse Theatre. The hunt spans across Colombo, and encompasses within a wide spectrum of activities, both challenging and entertaining. The participants will be given clues/riddles, which will take them around Colombo, locating monuments and completing challenges. Points will be allotted based on challenges completed and at the end of the event scores will be reviewed and the winners will be chosen. Attractive prizes are awarded for the winners, including cash rewards, tickets, gift vouchers and gift hampers.
Profits arising from the project are utilized in numerous community service causes initiated by the club.
The project would involve over 1500 participants in teams of 4, inclusive of approximately 800 foreigners and several other locals. This event is expected to bring in a lot of publicity to Colombo and Sri Lanka in the eyes of the participants and the viewing public.
