“Magic of Christmas is in the air,
Magic of Christmas everywhere…”
The days are numbered, Christmas will soon be here and Colombo is in holiday frenzy. The streets of Colombo along with its many social hubs have undergone sumptuous makeovers highlighting this time, more than ever the celebration of the season. Yesterday, spreading the magic of this festive season, Colombo was in for a treat by Christmas flash mobs.
The happy holiday shoppers at the Arcade Independence Square and Majestic City Colombo were treated to a very special Christmas greeting on behalf of Cargills Magic, a treat for everyone this Christmas. Shoppers were entertained to exclusive performances by none other than The Workshop Players of Sri Lanka. A group of festively attired men, women and children captured the hearts of the holiday shoppers with a special Christmas number, “Magic of Christmas” ; original lyrics by Jerome de Silva, music by Nishan Daniel, produced at Hit Factory and vocals by The Workshop Players. Spreading the magic and joy of Christmas, this energetic group of performers captured the attention of all spectators who were later treated to Cargills Magic Ice Cream, an ideal treat for the season.
