Stir Fried Green Beans
Ingredients:
Oil 1 tbsp
Garlic 5 cloves
Big Onion 1 medium
Steamed Beans 300 g
Salt 1/2 tsp
Pepper 1/2 tsp
Dark Soy Sauce 1 tbsp
Sesame Seeds 1 tsp
Method:
In a oiled skillet add some chopped garlic, chopped big onion and steamed green beans.
Add salt and pepper to taste.
Proceed to pour in some dark soy sauce.
Sauté until all the ingredients are well combined.
Finally, top it off with sesame seeds before giving it one last mix and enjoy!
2. Karawila Salad
Ingredients:
Oil to fry
Karawila 250g
B. Onion 1 large
Green Chilli 2 nos
Pepper 1/2 tsp
Salt 1/4 tsp
Maldives Fish 1 tbsp
Lime Juice
Fried Karawila
Tomato 1 large
Method:
First, add oil into a deep pan followed by karawila, fry well until golden brown and remove from the pan once done.
Next, add big onion into a bowl, followed by green chilli, pepper, salt, maldive fish, lime juice and mix well.
Finally, add the fried karawila into the bowl followed by tomatoes, mix well and serve accordingly.
3. Tempered Kangkung
Ingredients:
Oil 1 tbsp
Garlic 6 cloves
B. Onion 1 medium
Chilli Flakes 1/2 tsp
Pepper 1/2 tsp
Dark Soy Sauce 1/4 cup
KangKung 1 bunch
Salt 1/2 tsp
Corn Flour 1/2 tbsp
Water 2 tbsp
Sugar 1/4 tsp
Method:
First, add oil into a pan followed by garlic, big onion, chilli flakes, pepper, dark soy sauce, kangkung and mix well.
Next, add salt, cornflour, water, sugar and mix well once more.
Finally, remove the pan from the heat and serve accordingly.
4. Tempered Jack Mackerel
Ingredients:
Oil 1 tbsp
Garlic 5 cloves
Curry leaves / rampe
B. Onion 1 1/2 large
Green Chilli 4 nos
Salt 1 tsp
Chilli Powder 1/2 tsp
Chilli Flakes 1 tbsp
Pepper 1/2 tsp
Tin Fish 1 can
Tomato 1 large
Red Chilli 2 nos
Method:
First, add oil into a pan followed by garlic, curry leaves, rampe, big onion, green chillis, salt, chilli powder and mix well.
Next, add chilli flakes, pepper, tin fish, mix well and cover the pan with a lid.
Add tomatoes, red chilli and mix well.
Finally, serve the tempered jack mackerel after all the ingredients are completely cooked.
5. Carrot Sambol
Ingredients:
Carrot 250g
Onions 1 large
Green Chilli 2 nos
Maldive Fish 1 tbsp
Pepper 1/2 tsp
Salt 1/2 tsp
Lime juice
Desiccated coconut 1/4 cup
Method:
First, grate the carrots into a bowl.
Next, cut the onions and chillis and add them to the bowl of carrots.
Add maldive fish followed by, pepper, salt, lime juice and desiccated coconut.
Finally, mix all the ingredients together and serve.
