Rice is a dish we simply cannot do without! Here’s how you can make a festive rice dish this Christmas. Get cooking!

 

Ingredients:

  • Fortune Basmati Rice 250 g
  • Water
  • Chicken stock (salted) 2 cups
  • Boiled chicken 200 g
  • Garlic Powder
  • Mustard sauce
  • Red bell pepper (large) 1
  • Green bell pepper (large) 1
  • Garlic 5 cloves
  • Onion (medium) 1
  • Cinnamon 1 inch
  • Olive oil 2 tsp + 2 tsp
  • Celery
  • Bacon

Method:

  1. Wash Fortune Basmati Rice and keep aside.
  2. Heat olive oil. Add onion, garlic, cinnamon stick and washed rice. Cook for about 3-5 minutes and then add chicken stock. Cook the rice.
  3. Heat olive oil in a separate pan and add boiled chicken, mustard, pepper and garlic powder. 
  4. Cook until golden brown and add celery after 1 minute. Add green and red bell peppers.
  5. Mix this with the cooked rice.
  6. Garnish with bacon and serve.
