Another delicious tidbit to have around for festivities or even during your everyday teat-time, is scrumptious murukku. Aunty D’s recipe will definitely show you that it isn’t hard to make at all! Happy cooking!
Ingredients:
- Rice flour 4 cups
- Roasted gram flour 1 cup
- Margarine 50g
- Cumin seeds 1 tsp
- Turmeric pinch
- Red chilli powder 2 tsp
- Salt 1 1/2 tsp
- Water
- Oil
Method:
- Mix roasted gram flour with rice flour and margarine.
- Add salt, cumin seeds and red chilli powder.
- Add water and make a paste (like string hoppers).
- Keep for 10 minutes.
- Make murukku using a murukku maker.
- Fry until golden brown.
