When a book transcends fiction and embraces your being, giving you goosebumps, then you know it has been a great read. When imagery from the plot begin to play out in your mind’s eye for no reason and you begin to re-live certain pivotal incidents in the story, during the most mundane moments during the day, you know you’ve been touched. Reading “Me before You” was truly an emotional roller coaster ride for me. I loved the subtle style with which the story unfolded, often speckled with humour, great imagery and loads of unspoken words. I felt there was so much to understand, reading between the lines. The purity of love and the fatality it often brings to the tender heart. Right through I was wishing the ending could have been different. In fact, I’m still clinging to that belief even after reading the inevitable…
