20 Items to pack in your beauty bag when travelling

Beauty by Rosh with PULSE

Hey everyone I’m beauty by Rosh and I’ve compiled pretty much everything you need on your trip. So feel free to use this as a guide when you’re packing – you can always skip some of these depending on your journey and what you need. But this is just to help you pick out what you need. And these are the things I take with me usually when I travel. So happy reading and safe travels!

SKIN CARE

  1. A moisturizer

I can’t stress the importance of a good moisturizer, especially if you’re travelling to a place that’s dry or cold. Your skin can get dry and painful if you don’t treat your skin in cold weather. I love the CLINIQUE dramatically different moisturizing gel.

  1. Lip Balm

Any lip balm/moisturizer will work, but don’t forget to keep it in your hand bag. Cause your lips too can dry out, especially in the colder months. I love the Carmex lip balm, this saved my lips while I was travelling and I swear by it.

  1. A Cleanser

I mean this is obvious – definitely pack this! You must use some sort of cleanser on a daily basis and this routine should continue when one is travelling as well. I love the Sothy’s cleansing milk.

  1. Face wash

This is any soap like face wash, cause a cleanser is just not enough to take the dirt off your face specially when you’ve been running around the city from attraction to attraction. I love the CLINIQUE liquid face wash mild.

  1. Body Cream

Pack an all over body moisturizer that you can use at night before you go to bed. This you could use throughout the year may it be cold or warm weather. I love the Johnson and Johnson’s oxygen fresh gel lotion- this is my absolute favourite.

HAIR CARE

  1. Shampoo and conditioner

Ok this needs no explanation. No one should travel without these unless you wanna go buy it there! I always take along with me the Clairol shimmer lights shampoo and TRESemme conditioner.

  1. Hair iron or curler

Depending on how you wanna style your hair, you should consider taking your hair wand. Cause in case you wanna look all pretty for a nice night out with your friends or a nice candle light dinner with your better half this would come in handy. I use the Philips straightner.

  1. Hair serum

This is a must. Especially for those girls who always need to iron your hair or have frizzy hair in general. I love the TRESemme keratin smooth (controls frizz for 48Hours) and this was recommended by Allure magazine best of beauty.

  1. Hair accessories

Well this would include hair ties, clips, bobbi pins, alice bands, hair crowns etc. and of course if you wear extensions then a set of your favourite hair extensions. This again depends what type of trip you’re going on. Of course if you’re going to a beach resort in the Maldives or canoeing in New Zealand or hiking through Peru then of course hair extensions is the last thing you will need. My favourite so far is the Bellami Hair – I wear it in Lilly Hair 260g 20″ colour Ash Blonde.

MAKEUP

  1. Two Lipsticks

I’d always pack a minimum of two lip colours. I usually pack a nude and a bold colour. Cause a nude would work with anything and of course a bold pop of colour is a fun statement for a good night out or a nice stroll in the city at night!

  1. BB cream

I always pack a BB cream. I hardly ever take a foundation cause I like to keep things a bit weightless and comfortable. Unless I’m travelling for an event I almost never pack my usual liquid foundation. I love the BOBBI BROWN BB cream.

  1. Setting Powder

You need this. Trust me! So pack it. I prefer translucent cause it doesn’t feel heavy on your skin. I love the Laura mercier Translucent powder.

  1. Bronzer or blush

Well you can choose! You can take either one you think you need more or well, you can take both if you have space. Lol. I love to take a blush that can act both as a bronzer and a blush like the BOBBI BROWN blush #4 Almond.

14. Eye Liner

I mean can you go without this? If not any other makeup I think you should take this. Eye liner makes such a huge difference even when worn alone. You girls know what I mean. I love the MAC eye liner pencil in underground and also the CLINIQUE true black gel liner.

  1. Mascara or Falsies

You must pack mascara but if you’re like me and hate mascara then you can go for a pair of falsies. I prefer putting on a pair of false lashes instead of or in place of mascara. I’ve been loving the Ardell lashes lately cause they are inexpensive and feel very comfortable on. Of course this is for a special night out on your trips’ itinerary-I’d definitely not go on my shopping day out or even a good day at the amusement park with false lashes!

  1. Eye shadow palette

Well this depends on where I’m travelling to and what plans I have. Cause you don’t always need a whole eye shadow palette. You can just take an individual colour or a duo which would be more than enough. But there are some handy palettes that are perfect for travelling. For example NARS god created women palette and the TOO FACED cat eyes palette or the TOO FACED natural matte palette and the Balm voyage palette are some great options!

NAILS

  • Nail clippers | Nail File | Nail Polish | Nail polish remover | Hand & Nail Cream

These are a few essentials. You can just put one of each in a small kit and you’re good to go. This of course is only if your trip is longer than a week. You wouldn’t need these if it’s a quick weekend getaway to Singapore, And if you have acrylic or gel nails I’d say definitely pack the above and also a nail glue and a nail hardener with you just in case.

OTHER

  1. Multi Vitamins

Just cause you’re travelling you shouldn’t skip on your daily vitamins. So pack whatever you take on a daily basis in a small pill container. Of course only take the amount needed depending on the duration of your trip. This would include your daily multi vitamin, fish oil caps, biotin, birth control and daily dietary supplements etc.

  1. That time of the month essentials

Emergency Tampons or sanitary napkins and any other. Ok this needs no explanation! Just a reminder.

  1. Eye drops

This is something I always reach for in the plane especially on long haul flights cause my eyes seem so dry and uncomfortable. So I pack a bottle of refresh tears in my hand bag.

Hope this was helpful. If you have any questions don’t hesitate to ask me. I’m here and happy to help.
