Spicy Kokis | Cooking with Aunty D

A crunchy delight to fill your tummies this Avurudu season!

Aunty D is all set to teach you how to make spicy Kokis for your Avurudu table. Here are the simple steps you should follow!

Ingredients:

White Raw Rice Flour 500 g
Turmeric 1 tsp
Egg 1
Thick Coconut Milk 2 1/2 cups
Curry Leaves
Salt 1 tsp
Chilli Flakes 1 tbsp

Method:

Add white raw rice flour, turmeric powder and a sifted egg to a bowl.
Gradually add thick coconut milk to it and mix well.
Let the batter rest for 30 minutes.
Add curry leaves, salt, chilli flakes to the mixture and combine.
Dip the mould in heated oil (to ensure the batter doesn’t stick to the mould) and then in the batter.
Fry the kokis until golden, transfer them to a bowl and enjoy!
