Sri Lanka is a wonderful country and its people are a big part of what makes it so special. Nonetheless, like countless others all over the world, Sri Lankans have their fair share of opinions. Whether it be about private education or about our Queer Community, we Lankans have a buttload to say about it all.
Unless you’ve been taking a page from Patrick Star’s book and have been living under a rock lately, you’d probably know that Colombo had a pride celebration of its own where a double-decker bus decked with rainbow LGBT Pride flags drove around Colombo (maybe it’s not much of a parade, but hey, it’s a start).
However, the celebration did spark a certain something in what people thought about Lanka’s LGBT Community.
1.Of course there were the golden arguments like;




2.Then came the ‘obvious’ blows to culture;

3. And of course the anticipated hate:

4. But hey, we had a few defenders;

5. These excellent drops of sarcastic;


6. There was also this lesson on Biology;

7. And of course we need to blame those pesky Westerners for it all, don’t we;
