Cooking with Aunty D.
A good Chicken Kurma with some hot paratha or naan is most deffinitely everyone’s favourite. Well we’ve got it sorted for you cuz this time you don’t have to go to an indian restaurant to get some good kurma. You can make it yourself at home and surprised you’re better half. Get cooking!
Ingredients:
- Boneless Chicken 500g
- Onion 1 Medium
- Garlic 1 tsp
- Salt 1 tsp
- Pepper 1 tsp
- Garam Masala 1 tsp
- Coriander Powder 2 tsp
- Curry Powder 1/2 tsp
- Saffron 1/2 tsp
- Chilli flakes 1/2 tsp
- Chilli Powder 1/2 tsp
- Cumin Seeds 1/2 tsp
- Cinnamon Stick 1 inch
- Cloves 4
- Ginger 1 tsp
- Cardamom 2
- Curd 1/2 cup
- Water 2 cups
- Plain Yogurt 1
- Ground Almond 2 tsp
- Fortune Oil 2 tsp
- Coriander Leaves
- Brown Sugar 1/2 tsp
Method:
- Cut Chicken into cubes.
- Marinate Chicken with Salt, Pepper, Garam Masala, Coriander Powder, Curry Powder, Saffron, Chilli Flakes and Chilli Powder.
- Heat Fortune Oil, Add Onion, Cumin Seeds, Ginger, Garlic, Cinnamon, Clove and Cardamom. Fry until Onion it’s golden brown.
- Add Marinated Chicken, Let it cook for 5-10 mins, then add Ground Almond, Curd, Yogurt and Water (add water from the same curd cup so you can get all the remains in the cup)
- Add Sugar
- Cook 15-20 mins
- Add Coriander Leaves at last.
