Creamy, punchy and dressed in bold colours, these Festive Devilled Eggs are made to stand out on any festive spread. Try it out with Aunty D!
Ingredients
Eggs 10 nos
Mayonnaise 3tbsp
Tabasco sauce 1tsp
Dijon mustard 1tsp
Salt to taste
Pepper to taste
Dark green food colouring as needed
Deep red food colouring as needed
Method
- Boil and peel the eggs.
- Slice them in half and carefully separate the yolks from the whites.
- In two bowls, mix water with dark green and dark red food colouring.
- Add your egg halves to the bowls, leaving a few plain white.
- Let them soak until you achieve your desired colours.
- In a separate bowl mix the egg yolks, mayonnaise, Tabasco sauce, mustard, salt and pepper until smooth.
- Transfer your yolk mixture into a piping bag.
- On your serving plate, create a small dot of the mix first to hold the egg whites in place, then gently place the egg whites on top.
- Pipe the devilled egg mixture into the whites and garnish with your choice of toppings.
