Kunafa | Cooking with Aunty D

Flour 200g

Eggs 1

Oil 1 tbsp

Ginger 1/2 tsp

Curry leaves

Bombay onion 1 medium

Garlic 1/2 tsp

Green chilli 2 nos

Celery 2 inch

Boiled chicken 250g

Tomato 1 large

Potato 1 medium

Green peas 1/4 cup

Pepper 1/2 tsp

Salt 1 tsp

Chilli flakes 1 1/2 tsp

Turmeric  1/4 tsp

Coriander leaves 1/4 cup

Maggi Coconut Milk 1 1/2 cups


  1. Add egg, Maggi Coconut Milk, and salt (1/4 tsp) to the flour and mix well. Fill a kunafa maker or an empty ketchup bottle with the mixture and drizzle in a circular motion.
  2. Heat oil and add ginger, garlic, curry leaves, Bombay onion, green chilli,celery boiled potato, boiled chicken, green peas, tomato, chilli flakes, pepper and salt.
  3. Then add turmeric and coriander leaves and mix well. Switch off the flame.
  4. In a bowl, place a pancake first and add the filling on top. Alternative layers of pancake and filling until the bowl is full. Finish with a final pancake on top.
