Menu

The Little Prince is Food Studio’s Coffee Shop, featuring items ranging from coffees, milkshakes, cakes, patisseries, and so much more! Their counters are always filled with scrumptious looking desserts, so here’s what we tried out.

Drinks

Irish Latte – LKR 550

We had no complaints about this cup of coffee (mostly because a little caffeine was essential to us at that point of the day) however we did question its consistency.

Don’t get me wrong, the Irish Latte at The Little Prince was well presented and well balanced – not too sweet, not too bitter with just the right punch of coffee; but it was quite light in consistency to be named a Latte.

Nevertheless, it is a great pick-me-up during a hectic day and isn’t too heavy on your stomach.

Fact – This item usually comes in a takeaway cup so don’t be disheartened when you don’t receive a tall glass instead.

Vanilla Cookie Milkshake – LKR 590

Don’t be fooled, although this looks like a delicious vanilla Sundae, The Vanilla Cookie Milkshake is far better! Consisting of with whipped cream, chocolate sauce and crushed cookies, we were in love!

Most milkshakes are very heavy on the stomach, but as The Little Prince has proved in the Irish Latte as well, they know just how creamy their drinks should be. The milkshake had the right balance of milk and vanilla flavoring, not going overboard with the diabetes as most places do.

Dessert

Apple Pie

Served fresh onto the plate, this dish consisted of a slice of delicious apple pie, topped off with sweet maple syrup. I’m not really a fan of items that are too sweet for my liking, but the apple pie was simply amazing! The outer layer was baked to perfection, being able to retain the apple sauce from within the pie; which consisted of more pieces of apples and raisins that brought out a change in texture.

The apple pie at The Little Prince is by far, the best I’ve had! Definitely a must-try.
