Sri Lanka; you hear that word, you can picture the beautiful coastal areas, uphill towns, heritage and traditional food. More and more travelers and explorers are visiting Sri Lanka to find adventure, serenity, and new things and this is making our little island stand out from the other countries in the world. An island that is enriched and gifted with not only one, but two monsoons throughout the year, beautiful beaches and hill country locations that you can explore and enjoy within the borders of the same island is absolutely a real time tropical- wonderment of the world.
Offering vacation accommodation options starting from home-stays to 5 star luxurious hotels, Sri Lanka without a doubt has given a vast range of options for its travelers to select from. Whether it is a top class hotel or a home-stay, if you know what facilities you prefer you will get the best they could extend to satisfy your needs. Once settled in, exploring the area with proper guidance or if preferred, a spontaneous exploring would be the next must-do task when you are in Sri Lanka. In most of the places you travel in Sri Lanka you will have the opportunity of meeting warm and friendly people who will assist you with whatever need you have, maybe point you to the best place you could eat at or the best spot you could go to relax by the beach. Find the food for your preferred taste or try out new things you haven’t tasted before or list out your dietary preferences to the restaurant you step into, and they will have everything you need at the same place.

Since Sri Lanka is a must-go travel hot spot of the world regardless of who you are, a vacationer from a foreign land or a local islander who is looking for some peace time, as mentioned above Sri Lanka would be the perfect place to find what you need. Food, culture, heritage, religions, and the people are just a few of the things that you could enjoy if you have the passion for it. For those who don’t want much interaction can always find a chilled-out place to have some shut eye or read a good book whilst enjoying a chilled drink. You can always step into libraries, find writings of new authors to go on binge reading, go to the museum to see what Sri Lanka was a 100 years ago to compare with what with what it is now and puzzle yourself with the unknown things you see in there. In addition, this island is now seeing its growth in the apparel, antique, contemporary art and handcrafted item industries, you now have the opportunity to enjoy, learn and be part of any of these industries to add more popularity to them so that it would be a much bigger attraction leading it to add one more reason to why you should visit Sri Lanka.
Moreover, with such a growth in the travel-tourism industry in Sri Lanka, the country is now in need of the best attention that it has ever required to keep the current standards above the limit and find new ways to grow what’s left of it. The natural beauty of this island is a two way street, where you can enjoy what’s there to the maximum and give your fair share of work to preserve and save what is there in our beautiful nation. If this concern is neglected, soon our island’s environment and beauty will be scattered and will fall apart. We have to work with one heart to help our island to be recognized for the name it’s been given, ‘The Pearl’ of the Indian Ocean, for many decades to come, for what we’ve enjoyed and preserved now, will be appreciated and protected in the years to come if we work towards the right direction.
