Pan fried chicken, packed with traditional Greek flavors of selected herbs, garlic, lemon and onion together with perfectly cooked fluffy basmati rice. An easy and delicious one pot dish.
Preparation time: 15 minutes
Cooking time: 30-35 minutes
Serves: 4
Ingredients:
4-5 chicken thighs
300g basmati rice, raw
2 Knorr Chicken Cubes
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, chopped
2 tablespoons, dried oregano
2 tablespoons, dried marjoram
1 teaspoon, crushed pepper
3-4 tablespoons, olive oil
1 teaspoon, turmeric
1 teaspoon, chili powder
1 lemon, juiced
Water to boil rice
Method
- In a pan, add olive oil. Put the thighs skin side down to ensure crispiness. Now add the onion, garlic, turmeric, chili powder, pepper powder, lemon juice and dried herbs. Fry for a few minutes till fragrant.
- Now add the washed rice, Knorr Chicken Cubes and sufficient water. Stir well. Bring to boil.
- Season with salt to taste and serve hot.
Chef’s Tip
When cooking basmati rice, the water quantity required is preferably 1 x1 from the measuring cup .
