U.S. Sen. Kamala Harris named longtime Senate aide Rohini Kosoglu as her deputy chief of staff. Kosoglu is a Sri Lankan American legislative and policy expert with more than a decade of Senate experience.
Kosoglu is a graduate of the University of Michigan and The George Washington University. She has served more than a decade in the U.S. Senate moving legislation and enacting policy. She has been involved with many activities relating to landmark laws, including the Affordable Care Act.
“I am excited to have Rohini, a leader with a strong knowledge of Congress and how to get things done, joining on our team,” said Harris in a statement. “Now, more than ever, Californians are looking to their leaders in Washington, D.C., to protect our families and communities, and I look forward to working closely with Rohini as we fight for the ideals of our nation.”
