Ingredients:
Chicken 500 g
Pepper 1 tsp
Turmeric 1/2 tsp
Salt 1 tsp
Curry Powder 1 tsp
Vinegar 1 tbsp
Chilli Powder 2 tbsp
Ginger + Garlic 1 tbsp
Oil 1 tbsp
Cinnamon 1 inch
Cardamom 3 pods
Big Onion 1 medium
Curry Leaves + Rampe
Green Chilli 2 nos
Coconut Milk 1 1/2 cups
Black Curry Powder (Kalu Kudu) 1 1/2 tsp
Method:
Begin by marinating the chicken which can be done by adding chicken, pepper, turmeric, salt, curry powder, vinegar, chilli powder, ginger + garlic, before giving it a thorough mix.
Marinate the seasoned chicken for 20 minutes.
In a rice cooker, add oil, cinnamon, cardamom, big onion, curry leaves + rampe and let it cook for a few minutes.
Proceed to add the marinated chicken into the cooker and cook under low flame for 5 minutes.
Seal the lid to let the chicken cook for a few minutes.
Once cooked, add some green chillis and coconut milk and seal the lid to let the curry cook for a few minutes.
Once the curry is bubbling, add some black curry powder (Kalu Kudu) and give it one final mix.
Serve and enjoy!
