Cooking with Aunty D.
This Hathmaluwa Curry will surely make your meals a whole lot better! Subha Aluth Avurudak!
Ingredients:
- Potato (medium) 1
- Dhal 50 g
- Cashew nuts 50 g
- Carrots 50 g
- Long beans 50 g
- Brinjal 50 g
- Jack fruit seeds 10
- Oil 2 tsp
- Onion (small) 1
- Curry leaves & rampa
- Garlic 4 cloves
- Turmeric powder 1/4 tsp
- Curry powder 1 tsp
- Chilli powder 1 tsp
- Salt 1/3 tsp
- Green chillies 2
- Chilli flakes 1/2 tsp
- Coconut milk 2 cups
Method:
- Heat oil and add onion, rampa, curry leaves, garlic, and turmeric powder. Fry until onion becomes golden in colour.
- Add potato, jack fruit seeds, cashew nuts, carrots, long beans, brinjal and dhal. Then add curry powder, chilli powder, salt, green chillies and chilli flakes.
- Add coconut milk. Cover with the lid and cook.
