A delicious Sri Lankan fish curry! Check out our Tempered Salaya recipe below!
Ingredients:
- Oil 3 tbsp
- Curry leaves & rampa
- Onion 1 large
- Green chilies 4
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Turmeric powder ¼ tsp
- Salt ½ tsp
- Chili flakes 1 tsp
- Pepper ½ tsp
- Salaya 250g
- Chili flakes ¼ tsp
- Pepper 1/8 tsp
- Salt ¼ tsp
- Tomatoes 2 small
Method:
1. Cut and clean the Salaya fish and keep aside.
2. Heat oil in a pan. Then add curry leaves.
3. Add onion, green chilies, garlic, turmeric powder, chili flakes and salt.
4. Let this cook for 3 – 5 minutes under a low flame.
5. Then place Salaya fish in the pan.
6. Sprinkle ¼ tsp chili flakes, pepper, and ¼ tsp of salt on the Salaya fish.
7. Place tomato slices on the top.
8. Cover the lid and cook under a low flame.
