Lankans can make anything into a delicious curry, that’s for sure. Here’s a new and simple recipe for a spicy Ash Plantain Black Curry you can make at home!
Ingredients:
- Ash plantain 250g
- Coriander powder ½ tsp
- Cumin powder ¼ tsp
- Oil 2 tsp
- Small onion ½
- Curry leaves and Rampa
- Green chilli 2
- Salt ½ tsp
- Pepper ½ tsp
- Chilli powder ½ tsp
- Cinnamon ½ inch stick
- Coconut milk 1 ½ cups
Method:
- Cut Ash plantains into 1 ½ inch size cubes Dry roast cumin and coriander powder until dark brown
- Add oil, onion, curry leaves, and rampa. Then add ash plantains.
- Add green chilli, salt, pepper, chilli powder, and cinnamon
- Finally add coconut milk and cook until you get a thick gravy
