Crispy, soft, succulent. Batter fried prawns are a staple for everyone during any occasion from dinner outings to take-out. And now it’s time to learn how to make it yourself. Follow Aunty D’s simple recipe to whip up some restaurant-style goodness right at home!
Ingredients:
Prawns 15 nos
Pepper ½ tsp
Salt ½ tsp
Lime Juice
Corn Flour ¼ cup
All-Purpose Flour ¼ cup
Turmeric 1/8 tsp
Baking Powder 1 tsp
Water ¼ cup
Method:
Marinate the prawns with pepper, salt and lime juice for 10 minutes.
In a separate bowl, whisk and combine corn flour, all-purpose flour, salt, turmeric and baking powder with water until it forms a smooth batter.
Dip your marinated prawns in the batter and fry them in oil on medium-high heat until golden.
Serve while it’s hot!
