Kiri Kos

A slight twist on a delicious Lankan classic! Try out the Kiri Kos recipe below!

Ingredients:

  • Jackfruit (kos) 300g 
  • Jackfruit seeds
  • Water 1 ½ cup
  • Salt 1/3 tsp
  • Mustard seeds ¼ tsp
  • Pepper ¼ tsp
  • Small red onions 5
  • Thick coconut milk 1 cup
  • Turmeric ¼ tsp
  • Curry leaves / Rampa

Method:

1. Cut kos and the seeds into small pieces
2. Add some water and boil it until it is fully boiled and all the water dissolves.
3. Add ground mustard seeds, pepper, and red onions.
4. Add thick coconut milk into the boiled Kos.
5. Then mix the ground paste with turmeric and curry leaves/rampa.
6. Cook for 3 – 5 minutes until the coconut milk boils.
