Prawn Curry | Cooking with Aunty D

Oil 1 tbsp 

Garlic 3 cloves 

Ginger 1/2 inch 

Fenugreek 1/2 tsp 

Cumin 1/4 tsp 

Sweet Cumin 1/4 tsp 

Cinnamon 1/2 inch 

Curry Leaves


Big Onion 1 medium 

Green and Red Chilli 5 nos 

Turmeric 1/2 tsp 

Chilli Powder 1 1/2 tbsp 

Salt 1 1/2 tsp 

Curry Powder 1 tsp

Chilli Flakes 1 tsp

Prawns 350g 

Thin Coconut Milk 1 cup

Thick Coconut Milk 1 cup

Sugar 1/4 tsp 

Lime Juice 1 tsp 


First, add oil into a pan, followed by garlic, ginger, fenugreek, sweet cumin, cumin, cinnamon and fry for a while.

Next, add curry leaves, rampe, big onion and mix well.

Add red chillis, green chillis, turmeric, chilli powder, salt, curry powder, chilli flakes, prawns, mix well and let the prawns cook well.

Next, add thin coconut milk, thick coconut milk, sugar, mix well and let the curry boil for a while.

Finally, add lime juice and serve accordingly.
