Cooking with Aunty D.
Here’s a yummy seafood Lankan curry you can have with your rice! Get cooking!
Ingredients:
- Tuna 500 g
- Garlic 3 cloves
- Onion (small) 1
- Green chillies 2
- Ginger 1/2 inch
- Cinnamon stick 1/2 inch
- Fennel seeds 1/2 tsp
- Cloves 2
- Cardamoms 2
- Coconut milk (first & second extract) 1 cup each
- Curry leaves and rampa
- Turmeric 1/2 tsp
- Salt 1 1/2 tsp
- Chilli powder 1 1/2 tsp
- Curry powder 1 tsp
- Goraka 1
- Tomato (medium) 1
- Oil 2 tsp
Method:
- Wash and cut the fish into cubes.
- Heat oil and add onion, garlic, ginger, curry leaves, rampa, fennel seeds, green chillies, cinnamon, cloves, cardamoms, turmeric and salt. Fry for 2 minutes.
- Add coconut milk (second extract) and add chilli powder and curry powder.
- Add goraka and tuna pieces.
- Add coconut milk (first extract).
- Add tomatoes and cook for 10-15 mins.
